Water Reflections

Winter walk with Vicky was the day of fun filled awesome reflections of things around us ….it seemed like a walk into a magical world of sparkles and reflections……………………..every where we turned there was something to see and try to capture …here are a few captures of my camera  lens for that day … its so easy with a digital to shoot so many shots of the same thing…..

we wandered over  near the edge of the walking path near the river …The view was of the bank across the river was appearing in the water… ….the click of our cameras were loud in the cold  morning air ……..

The reflection of the tree tops grew with each  step ….we were both not trying to shoot  the same view ……and carefully trying to make sure we were on solid footing as the edge of the  bank and snow  blended into a false edge in places………

First mere edges of the tops of the trees ,then more and more of the beautiful birch trees appear in the reflection …we made more noise then a class room of children at playtime ..it was  like opening presents at a surprise party ,,,what next .

then we both saw how the water movement was taking the tree reflection into the stream and creating a water colour of the reflections , slowly moving the colours down stream in a washing of soft colours atop the water

One last look at the Alaska birch in the mighty river …………………………hope your eyes have enjoyed the travels of my camera lens

Great composition! I really like the way you’ve framed the warm brown colors from the tree reflections with the cool blue and gray of snow, ice, and water.
