Fall North Pole Alaska Style

Lately we have had a beautiful warm wind blowing through Alaska..causing lots of rain and flooding….also causing early morning mist and fog ..few days back I stepped out on the patio and captured the following photos ….

and one more view of early morning sunlight on the mist and water drops

The above misty shot are one version of our Fall weather but the next three photos are how our Fall morning skies appear at times ….

then take a step and turn just a little and the sky looks like this

then the wind blows and the sun rises further in the sky and here is what happens

the weather is changing more and more each minute ..this morn I was in a hurry but the frost on fallen leaves is one of my next captures I want to capture …..maybe tomorrow

Just beautiful. Crisp frosts underfoot next? It certainly feels as though Fall is well progressed, despite the unseasonably warm temperatures of late. How far ahead (into Fall) are you of Edmonton, or Calgary, for example?

We are above even …here and both those places have had a little dusting of snow on higher mountains and low temps at night …..the high winds of the last three days have taken all
our leaves but if you drive toward the Alaska boarder there are still plenty of yellow and golden colors in the trees…
